Key Volunteer Positions and Detailed Responsibilities

Are you looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community and support healthy, active lifestyles? The Goodlife Games (GLG) of Pinellas County, Florida, invites you to join our dedicated team of volunteers and help make our Olympic-style sports competitions a resounding success for adults aged 50 and over!

The Goodlife Games is a established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on promoting physical activity, camaraderie, and community building within the senior population of Pinellas County. We serve as a regional qualifier for the Florida Senior Games, providing a vital platform for our senior athletes to compete, stay active, and connect with others.

We rely entirely on the passion and commitment of volunteers like you to bring these inspiring events to life. Your involvement, no matter how big or small, directly contributes to the well-being and social engagement of our senior participants.

We have a variety of volunteer roles available, and we're sure there's a perfect fit for your skills and interests. Some key volunteer positions include:

  • Event Director (Per Sport): Plan and execute specific sports events, including rules, officials, and game day execution.
  • Social Media & Content Volunteer: Develop content, provide live coverage, ensure sponsor visibility, and engage with the community online.
  • Registration Coordinator: Manage the online registration platform, verify eligibility, and prepare athlete packets.
  • Volunteer Coordinator: Recruit, schedule, train, and recognize our amazing volunteers.
  • Awards & Logistics Coordinator: Procure medals, track inventory, and plan the awards ceremony.

By volunteering with the GLG, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Empower Seniors: Help older adults stay active, healthy, and socially connected.
  • Be Part of a Community: Join a passionate team dedicated to a meaningful cause.
  • Gain Valuable Experience: Develop new skills or utilize existing ones in a dynamic environment.
  • Witness Inspiring Moments: Experience the joy and determination of our senior athletes firsthand.

We are actively recruiting volunteers from local high schools, civic groups, and senior-friendly organizations. Whether you can commit a few hours or more, your contribution will make a significant impact.
